I'd never use jack fruit as a "meat" analog. Its all carbs and no protein. Juicy Marbles is the nutritional superior choice for a toned Physique!

People who call this a science experiment probably don't realise pretty much every food is a science experiment.. food science, who would have known it would be sciencey

I watch a lot of these vegan cooking videos. Ill be honest, it DOES seem really processed and generally non appetizing. The appeal of meat is its natural, and its good for you. (Apparently that is becoming taboo to say. But the B12 and iron don't lie). Honestly, things like Mediterranean and Indian food are vastly more appealing to me, and a lot of people I know. I genuinely believe that you could get more meat eaters to move away from meat by just making really good non meat dishes. Because fake meat is… in all honesty… pretty gross. Especially when you see it made. It seems like a novelty.

Also that price is crazy wtf 20$ for a sandwich? Im sorry but that was just straight up not worth 20$ that's a flat out lie.

we are not big fans of jackfruit but we have stopped eating out as the costs get more and more ridiculous, So to be able to treat ourselves occasionally with a different but great meal at home is welcomed. I will look into juicy marbles to replace our soy curls for a sometimes treat meal ..thx for that.

But like… Cooking is science whether it's vegan or not. The fact that someone's using ingredients unfamiliar to you doesn't mean it's *bad*.

It's like when people don't mind baking soda, but if they heard you're adding sodium hydrogen carbonate to your food, they would freak out.

I could not care less about being vegal but man. I love experimental cooking. I love the techniques that you present and I just absolutely adore the fact that you are unapologetic and devoid of stupid food ideologies like "unnatural is bad" ir "msg is toxic" or other bs like that.

Question, how do you compare meat and non-meat products when all you seem to test is vegan versions?

it crazy how far people will go to avoid eating meat.

even if vegan cooking was a science experiment, why is that a bad thing? most meat had to go through a process which had to be invented and tried at some point in time. Literally all cooking is science. And no, I'm not vegan, but I'm not stupid either.
