    Interesting… I’m one of those people that absolutely love vegetables, looking at a fantastic plate full of salad stuffs makes my mouth absolutely water, especially with avocados too. So I suppose from my point of view, I don’t understand why people aren’t getting enough calories, look at the different types of beans and pulses and seeds and nuts out there, absolutely beautiful and fantastic to eat, salad stuff’s, vegetables, potatoes, sweet potatoes, just to name but a few.

    I’m not really a big fan of fruit, vegetables and salads are my favourites, and I cooked some fantastic vegetable stews and casseroles of various descriptions too, and I’m getting on for just over 18 stone in weight, I know I have to lose weight, but believe me, all I eat is vegan.

    If people really do their research, and they don’t have to do a lot, they will get everything they need from a plant-based diet, I suppose apart from B12 vitamin.

    Just my opinion 🙂 🙏

    I buy grinded flaxseeds and grind it again in my foodprocesor until its like almondflower and put it in my oatmeal with some extra flaxseed oil and put some fine grinded hempseed its a bomb oatmeal breakfast.

    I'm always confused when I hear that getting enough calories would be a problem on a vegan diet… I've been vegan for about 5 years and unless ur eating only vegetables and fruit or skipping meals or something, I just don't see it… even from eating nuts and carbs… like how could you not get enough calories??? personally I find it hard to cut down on my calories (which I need to do)…

    The last response from Derek was confusing. He said "an algae-based fish oil". Must have just meant an algae-based oil. However, oils are not whole foods either. I know some people will say to get lots of chia, flax, walnuts, ect, but omega 3 is in everything and the ratio of omegas and the absorption matters more than the quantity we are taking in from food.

    In most countries, veganism is quite difficult for most people. There are many allergies to nuts, gluten, wheat even just a range of foods. Vegetarianism is much better with an acknowledgement or awareness of animals….we can choose to eat foods

    I think the thing that makes everyone different is mostly where they are health-wise(what they need to heal) plus whatever their lifestyle is exercise wise. That's why over time dietary patterns can change because they heal and then want to eat differently. Also, something not talked about as much is someone's mental state and how much energy they spend just mindlessly absorbing tons of info. This could be if one is addicted to Instagram or YouTube, Facebook. When I made it a priority to be on these way less(stopped Facebook months ago and deleted Instagram from my phone) the shift I felt was so huge.

    I think the opposite is true. All of the ex vegans on Youtube – Megan Elizabeth, Rawvanna and Alyce were eating fermenting too-high-fat vegan diets per their what I eat and recipe videos. I would learn how to eat the True North Health or Chef AJ diet if you want to get healthy, detoxify, and last on this lifestyle. Otherwise: fermentation and…poof! Carnivore

    You need fat but its definitely not as important as these people make it out to be the reason why most people fail on high carb low fat is because there actually eating high carb NO fat an there's a huge difference. And what I mean by NO fat is that they aren't eating near as much fat as they think they are. These guys say they still ate nuts but I truely doubt it was everyday you could eat a fruit diet based on bananas even in themselves and still get all the fat they need which is a lot more then you think. The real problem is that people are extremest and subconsciously take "low fat" to mean hardly any fat at all and that is NOT what it means at all.

    I eat whole food plant based and I don't worry about my macros at all. I don't calorie count. Depending on what I eat, all that stuff varies from day to day, week to week anyway. Some days I may be eating more fat some days less. It doesn't have to be so complicated. I aim for as much variety as possible, try out new things, try to have fun with it.If I like the taste something, I eat it, if I don't I find something else I like better. There's always something else just as good for you that you'll like better. Long as I'm not eating animals or lots of processed stuff, it's all good.

    I eat 3,000 calories a day on a whole food plant based diet. I get all my nutrients except B12. I occasionally eat oil, sugar. If you want to be whole food plant based, it can be done easily. There are plenty of high density foods available.

    Bro when I eat low fat I feel hungry all the time and some times I crave meet.
    When I eat carbs and fats equally then I feel so nice and peaceful.

    My ratio is 40% carbs 40%fats 20% protein I feel super like this.

    I eat lot of tahini some avocado some pumpkin butter etc

    I realized that women may need fat more. I heard and read how important fat is for our brains, like it helps with depression and it’s good for reproductive health. I also noticed for my body on my weight loss journey I couldn’t lower my calories that much. I could only lower them to about 1500-1600 and lose weight slow. I absolutely have to have nuts, nut butters, avocado, avocado oils, etc. I’m not vegan, I still eat eggs and Greek yogurt but I understand what he’s saying. I’m investing in Hemp, Almond flour and flax. High fat helps with hair btw, omega 3s help grow hair.
