Okay
I accidentally set my cutting board on a silicone trivet some years ago. Now I do it on purpose. That will keep your cutting board from slipping around as do those silpat type baking sheets.
I usually keep a couple of onions in the fridge for no-tears chopping.
Thanks for sharing your tips, Edgy Veg.
What's the pizza roller for "bacon" technique? Wait, I just got it…pizza cutter.
Best wishes to you!
this hack is very dumb but i do it. i stick my tongue out when i cut onions. looks silly and works every time. lol
Iβm definitely going to try the wet towel for the onions and the tongs for lemon, but the garlic trick does not work for all varieties of garlic. It just doesnβt. My tip is: leave the cloves soaking in water for about 10 minutes. The peel comes off really easily. Thanks!! π
Wow these tips are amazing
Tongs-juicer FTW!!!!
For sticky stuff, press the measuring spoon into the dry ingredient (like flour), and just fill the hole it leaves behind.
Great video Candice! Which compost are you using???
With the meaning tip. The easiest thing is to use a food scale. No sticky mess afterwards.
I will try the onion one. I ate ruining my makeup with onion juice
When I cook for myself i try to use as little dishes as possible. To still have some space for the already shoped vegetable i tend to use the table/bowl i will use for serving later or even a lid for a pot. Also if you have a pot which is too big for the fridge turn the lid upsite down and will most likely fit a lot better and still seal similarly
You know those skinny cutting boards that are slippy? I like to put heavy-ish counter top appliances on them and they slide in and out from the back of the counter so nicely. Use a garlic rock, like dillon from well your world to smash the garlic.
I don't have tongs. I'm kind of a minimalist when it comes to owning stuff. However a couple of long handled wood spoons works pretty good.
I didn't know the wet rag near the onions trick.
Thanks these are great
Why is this only 720p? Is it something Iβm screwing up? π€ͺ
The onion tip tho ππΌ
π
Definitely using this hacks next time I cook!!
So helpful π
Enjoyed watching this videoπ
the tongs are a game changer! never heard of that before! not vegan specific but freeze coffee to make iced coffee that isn't watery and use scissors to cut pizza!
The tinfoil one I LOVED! Definitely a first. Thanks Candace! π€
The dramatic yet βI told you soβ look you gave whilst cutting onions. Dead β°οΈπ
That onion fact just blew my mind π³
I will try the onion hack
My tip which I grew up with my dad doing is just use scissors for everything π use it to cut pizza, cut veg, anything that can be cut with a scissor, gets cut with a scissor π
Great video Candice:)) Love the onion tip:))))ππππ
Wow, Iβll totally be trying the wet towel for chopping onions – I have never heard of that one! And I cut onions just about every day. My kids run upstairs saying βonion eyes!!!β Maybe thisβll help!
Remember, flour is not safe to eat unless it's heated/cooked, so if you're using the flour in the measuring spoon trick, only do so if you're heating/cooking the end result.
How do you like ur indoor compost? I was looking at buying one.
Great tips thank youπ..and you are looking cute as always love your hairππ
Great tips Candace! some I've known but some are genius! Thanks
What! The tongs and the dishwasher hack, wow! Thanks for sharing and I am loving the hair!
Love, love the hair & the color is awesome.
Would a plant video be a weird suggestion? I keep seeing the hydroponics units and I'm really intrigued to know what the Edgy veg is growing. (I'm growing Chard)
The crumpled greaseproof paper is my favourite trick that I'll be using
One of my fav videos youβve put out!
Leave the pit(s) of an avocado in the guac until itβs time to serve. Itβs keeps the guac from turning brown.
Light a candle while chopping onion
can you pleaseeee make a video on the Takis vegan chicken tenders. They're seitan and Ive seen it on IG a few times. Spicy, breaded chicken strips. I wanna make them!!
Those were great, I know a lot of them, but was happy to learn the new ones.
