Great recipe! I'm using a brand if red beans from Pepe's Farm and I usually add coconut milk to sweeten and had a creamy texture to my beans ☺ Maybe a pinch of rosemary as I don't have any smoked ingredients yet!

This will absolutely be a repeat in my house. It is so delicious. I did it without the sausage and as a side to jerk cauliflower and sauteed chard. Delicious!!

I think I would add a little tomato Paste from the tube and maybe and some parsley green onions for a more gravy like consistency and green goodness. Looks great either way.

Thank you for this recipe! I'm so excited about trying this and am going to bring it over to our holiday get together next week. I will need to double the recipe, however, I'm worried about certain ingredients. Is it ok to double the liquid smoke, paprika, etc? I know liquid smoke is strong.
