Gustaf is a vegan farmer. When he changed his animals with beans, he caused rather a stir among the his farmer mates. But he believes in finding more sustainable agricultural techniques likely ahead. #storiesfromsweden #sweden

Let's get this straight, this is the official PR channel for the entire country's national government?

You guys really are an endless supply of memes.

Tilling, mechanized disturbance, and petroleum dependent. Wondering how his soil health is and what he uses for fertilizer (does he outsource or produce it himself?) and what does he use for pesticide? How long has his farm been vegan? Also how much does his market garden make him per year net profit? How many employees does he have and what does he pay them?

Animals are incredible at both fertilizing and controlling pests without harming beneficial organisms. He doesn't have to eat the animals, but his farm would really benefit with an animals touch.

I’m almost 2 years Vegan, I went from 210 to 170 in 11 months through Intermittent Fasting and CrossFit, greatest decision I’ve ever made.

Good for you for sticking to your beliefs and not worrying about what other people think because we have to think of the animals they are living creatures and should be respected and yes I am a vegan too.

Very good story coming from a farmer's own experience. The world needs to hear more of these. Veganism is best for a more sustainable world food system.

Very inspirational. When I turned vegan 10 years ago, I hoped we would have gotten further already, but I still feel like I'm alone. To see this gives me hope for a better, kinder, cleaner future.

Hemp will grow anywhere. I tried to start a hemp co-op and most small farmers were interested because they all had some portion of land that nothing else could be grown on. Regulations are still too strict..

Is there a group in Sweden, or general Scandinavia, where people share information and ideas for vegan permacultural practises…if you check out 'Planned Abundance' you will find there are a LOT of things most people have no idea about, that are possible…but what is possible in Estonia or Sweden I don't really know… and I'd happily work on compiling and organising and presenting etc all the information, and the experiences of people with different attempts… a Northern Permaculture Collective… I will start looking at North American stuff I guess…all the best…markus rehbach (in Estonia, planning to move to live in Sweden if Estonia goes the same way as the rest of the Co2vid Cult occupied world …

Awesome that you made the change! I used to raise pairs of feeder pigs, and I aspired to raise more meat animals and do a micro dairy too. I had a health scare earlier this year. I started watching videos related to reducing cancer risk by diet, and whole food plant based diets are the best way. I was inclined towards vegetarian diets most of my life anyway, but I have long believed the fallacy of carbs causing type 2 diabetes. I learned the truth, it's fat from animal products. It was an easy change for me after that.

Lol became a vegan due to guilt of killing animals then to start over sold the animals to butchers to start vegan farming. Makes sense!
