Your story for starting keto and sticking with it, is very similar to mine. It’s often said that it’s hard to stay on a Ketogenic diet, but when your not ruled by craving high carb foods and you feel and look so much better, it’s easy to make healthy low carb choices. And, with your recipes, eat delicious food!
    Thanks so much!!🙏🏼

Thank you for this. I have over ate my whole life. Carbs, both good and bad, are triggering for me. It’s easy for me to over eat and feel miserable, but I’m always hungry. I’ve been experimenting with lowering my carb intake and it makes a big difference. My whole body changes. When I do indulge in heavy carb days, I pay for it for a couple of days.

I’ve been very low carb for a few years and watch your channel for meat-free recipes. I like eating meat but want to include some meat-free meals. One of your recipes (tempeh in lettuce wrap & your chilli sauce) is now a staple meal which I have every week. It’s so yummy

I have done Keto for 9 months lost 40lbs the real problem with Keto is Cholesterol my doctor was amazed how I did but the cholesterol was skyrocketing he wanted to put me on pills to control it but said I should keep up with keto and don't go off it so I asked the pharmacist about those pills and he said you can't go off them once you start them so I ditched Keto and i'm just trying to keep my cholesterol low but i'm again gaining some weight so I'm thinking I might go back on keto again GL everyone

You and your channel have been a godsend for me precisely because you are not only keto but vegan too. As someone who is quite compassionate regarding animals, I have always had difficulty balancing my diet. I have found this to be by far one of the most challenging diet combinations to maintain, yet you seem to do it so flawlessly, and so easily. Your recipes and creations are ingenious and delicious and are helping change lives, literally.

As a type 2 I was allowing insulin to take care of me but when I lost my insurance I had to change. I came across keto and within 2 months my glucose was where it was when I was on insulin. I have been doing this for 3 years and for me it’s not a diet but my lifestyle.

I love your videos and although I’m not vegan you have made a total difference in how and what I eat. Thank you and please keep sharing your thoughts and journey with us.

I did keto successfully for more than 6 months last year. I fell off the wagon in September 2021 due to developing a chronic health issue which led to eating my emotions and going back to binge eating which I thought was not my problem anymore while I was on keto. Your videos were allways inspiring, I love your creativity and your overall good vibes.
I clicked on the video today not expecting what I just saw. I was pleasantly surprised to know that you, a person I look up to, so calm and mature (from what I've seen in the videos of course as I don't know you personally) used to fight the same food deamons that I have been fighting all my life. And that keto can be an answer. I tought of myself as a weak person, how can I need a "diet" to be able to not eat like a pig. I wanted some miracle way to be able to enjoy a piece of candy and not want any more, to eat just 2 slices of pizza etc. Seeing my weight gain that happened in the last half year after quitting keto, I tried to eat intuitively, eat normally etc and it took a lot of emotional effort and was not very successfull.
Your video reminded me how free I felt when I was on keto. I was too mentally drained recently to consider going keto again, cooking for myself, not eating junk every day… But your video gave me an impulse to try again, stop whining, be a better person.

Will you be writing a cookbook? Or have you self-published? I found your site when I was going through radiation and it was so inspiring. I did have to go off of any fake sweeteners though – I no longer drink any diet sodas or anything with “natural” flavors, which has made the biggest difference.

9:069:19…I believe you hit the nail right on the head! Agree 💯% God created an extremely intelligent machine in our bodies and if we avoid the things that make it sick and feed it what it needs, it will self-regulate and heal itself 🙏🌿

Thank you for sharing your story! I am inspired by your discussion of how food can affect any of us and how we create relationships with our food/nutrition and body image. While your cooking videos are absolutely delightful, I would love, love, love to see more content similar to this from you.

Loving your videos,! 😁 I am Vegan and have been eating according to the Starch Solution, basically because potatoes are my favourite food! But, I am so tired of falling asleep after each meal, walking around with a foggy mind, and last week I started looking for alternatives and watched a few keto videos and read up about it. I was wondering how to do Vegan Keto and found you. I'm very grateful for all the info you are sharing 🤗💐

Thank you 😊. So much of this is relatable to me even without going to dance school. When I went to college it was so challenging to find foods I had at home in the cafeteria. And so I entered a malignant phase of trying to figure things out. Years later it's clear to me that my 'research' was more probably just advertising fueled by a malicious and corrupt industry. The wellness industry.

It told me everything I ate was not good for me. I tried to cut carbs drastically. I tried to cut all dairy. I tried to cut calories. And that whole 'diet' thing left me in a mess honestly.

I too had this issue of not know when I was full. It's a real thing. To be left so uncertain of your health and wellbeing that you can't even be sure you are full. And it wasn't until I felt full for the first time in a very long time that I made real headway.

Also agree with you on the eat when you are hungry bit. It's spot on. In fact I think the part of wellness industry that's most damaging the consumer is this concept that if you do everything instamodel M says then you will become like that person. It's so damaging.

With time I am learning to incorporate various aspects certain diets into my lifestyle. It may not be perfect, or fit a mold, or be agreeable to any other health guru but it's working for me. I believe there is a lot of health to be gained by nurturing people to listen to their bodies, helping them find confidence in understanding their needs intrinsically and then supporting them in those efforts.

Our bodies change through life. What is right for me today may not be so in 5 years.

In contrast to what I feel about the wellness industry I definitely belive the wellness community means well and lifts others up by sharing thier journeys. And your channel is a great example of this! Thank you

    You are a God-send.

Well said Fan! Love your transparency!

  • at 8:29 am

I love watching your videos! And this one cements that for me. I completely relate. What one chooses to consume is very personal. For me, as well, it’s not a religion. It’s what works for me, for my body. Being vegetarian, in my case, is what brings me health and peace. And I love that you have listened to your own body and have allowed your eating habits to become what pleases you. I am totally fascinated with your dishes and recipes. Thanks for sharing them.

  • at 12:53 pm

Thank you so much for your perspective & recipes. I actually had the reverse problem regarding satiety. I would feel completely full after only a few mouthfuls. This led to eating little but frequently over the day. So despite being on clean keto I became diabetic. I have had to retrain myself to eat all my calories in a 4-6 hour window. It took some getting used to but I can now eat a full meal & am no longer diabetic. Just a warning not to underestimate
how important fasting is even on a low carb diet. Eating little & often is the single worst nutritional advice being given. It is a blueprint on how to become insulin resistant especially as a vegan.

I noticed you eat oils. I'd love to know your cholesterol and triglyceride levels, and if there is a difference from 4 years ago. I'm a whole food plant based vegan, but I don't consume oils or junk food.

What a wonderful you. I felt just like you before kito

I am not Keto, but have recently transitioned from being vegetarian to Vegan, and stumbled across your channel. Since I have cut out dairy especially, the chronic stomach pain, bloating, diarrhoea and cramps have all stopped! It's like a miracle 😊 I can really relate to what you say about how good it feels to finally have control over what you eat xxx Thanks for your amazing recipes xxx

You’re a darling, well-spoken, woman, with Common Sense. Love how well you know yourself. And how relatable your experience is. Love how you can just talk to us without reading a script! Please do more videos like this. You, and your wisdom, are a true treasure 🙂 Kind regards….

I don't normally comment on videos, but I wanted to thank you so much for this! You hit every last nail on the head that I'm dealing with, it was like you were talking directly to me and I appreciate that. I'm learning to listen to my body and respond accordingly. Glad I found your channel.

Without even knowing your story, you have always struck me at peace with the food you have been cooking and presenting on your channel. We all have our journeys. no doubt. I was an up and coming ballerina in my early days and appeared fit and healthy. Like you, I battled inside which really took its toll over the years – mentally, physically and financially (many different sized wardrobes were not cheap). I have never been hard core keto/Atkins but started practising low carb principles a number of years ago that I still gravitate to even today. Even if I slip, I feel it immediately and know that low carb is right for me. It always makes me feel good. Thank you for sharing your story, Fan. I really admire you <3
