Your spectacular recipes especially have helped me to make the transition to a fully vegan diet, and oh my goodness the changes I'm seeing in just the first week! Even my trainer has commented on my seemingly overnight bump in energy, strength, endurance, and muscle structure. You both are serious super-stars. I'm hoping to see all the training and diet (i.e., recipes!) ideas and guidance you two can possibly imagine passing on to us in future videos, while I study the ones you've already made. My wife and I love the information you put out on your channel and would love to hear what you think on the topic since my wife and I eat a lot of foods containing vitamin A. Can it really be a bad thing to eat too much vitamin A while pregnant? There are so many veggies that contain this vitamin!     I have an 8 quart "GoWise" pressure cooker, which is less expensive but similar to the Instapot. My favorite recipe so far is my quick and easy "5-Bean Weight Loss Chile", which is use for tacos, with eggs, etc. (I also made a good Lentil / garbanzo soup):

    1 can red kidney beans
    1 can Garbanzos
    1 can black beans
    1 can pinto beans
    can lentils
    1 can corn
    1 can tomatoes
    1 jar Bertolli's pasta sauce
    1 onion
    5 cloves garlic
    2 tsp. salt
    Mexican Mole made from pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon and 10 squares Trader Joe's dark chocolate (85%)

    Very DEELICIOUS!

  • Hey Derek! Love your channel. I only found it a few weeks ago but I’ve been binge watching it like crazy – so much good info. I have a question that I am hoping you can help me with. I was diagnosed with insulin resistance over 10 years ago and have been managing it with medication (Metformin, Spironolactone, and Synthroid) ever since. In learning more about natural remedies, living a healthy lifestyle, changing my diet, and exercising, my goal (as of a year ago) was to get off of my medication. The medication I am on has negative effects that I don’t want to experience and I am only 26 years old so I don’t want to be on a bunch of pills when I can just live a healthy lifestyle. Things were going great – the more healthy changes I made the more I could decrease my doses and even get off of the one medication completely. Unfortunately in the last little stretch of trying to completely be off of these pills, my body responded very poorly and I can’t seem to completely get off of them. My doctor hasn’t been overly helpful, unfortunately. So I guess my question is, in your experience with clients have you seen them be able to overcome illness with a vegan diet and healthy lifestyle and remove the need for medications? If so, can you speak to any tips or give an advice on how you helped them overcome their illnesses from a holistic approach? Thank you!

    Hey Mr, what are PUFAS? I recently stumbled into a discussion with someone who kept repeating vegans consume foods way too high in pufas, and he said it's apparently NOT OPTIMAL for our health.

  • Derek, absolutely loved your Christmas recipes (well, yours and Crystal's!). I made the Lentil Loaf and the Apple Crumble…..both came out awesome!!!! I did noticed the Celcious thing and just assumed it was for Farenheight! Guess i chose correctly!!! LOL, no worries!! Also, dude, isn't the Instant Pot Awesome!!! I absolutely love mine!!! Lucky for me i got a heck of a deal on Amazon for the 8qt! I use mine so much, especially for cooking the rice and about to cook the quinoia too!!!! Keep up the great work!!!!

  • My Mom got me an off brand instant pot for Christmas but I haven't use it yet. I had my wisdom tooth and an infected molar pulled Friday and have been fighting dry socket since so I haven't really eaten since Thursday night. I may try to make a soup or something in the instant pot. I need to lose 150lbs this year and I am hoping "my fancy fat loss pot" as my husband calls it, will make food prep easier. I don't really cook well so I have relied way to much on take out or ready meals over the years. I always love these videos because there is no super secret vegan ingredient grown on the tippity top of Mount Fuji, mixed just right with a spice from the depths of the Mariana Trench. Everything is simple and found at about any grocery store. <3

  • Instant pot gains! I’ve had the 8 quart for around 6 months now and I love cooking in it! Grains, beans, veggies you name it! I did pick up a sweet attachment a couple months ago that’s been really useful and that’s a veggie steamer tray, awesome addition.
